Dr. Judith Wackerlig

Judith Wackerlig holds the position of a Senior Scientist at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry responsible for Pharmaceutical Analytics since September 2015. Over the years she built-up the Analytics working group with averagely 10 members including technicians, trainees, PhD students and diploma/master students. Nevertheless, also short time coworkers as Bachelor students or internship holder are welcome.

We are working on several projects mainly applying analytical and semi-preparative HPLC separations, LC-HRMS and GC-MS.

Judith studied Chemistry at the University of Vienna. In 2009 she obtained her diploma degree in Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemical Sensors and optical Molecular Spectroscopy working for the European Project Nanosecure. She continued her studies in the field of Sensors and Rapid Analysis joining the European Project Photosens. During her doctoral studies she developed a mass-producible sensor for NSAIDs for potential use in pharmaceutical industry.

In February 2014 Judith Wackerlig joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry as a Senior Lecturer for chemical and instrumental analytics.
